Story
What is it like to be known as Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi's daughter? Or to have a mother as famous as Sharmila Tagore? Or to be recognized as Saif Ali Khan's sister? Or as Kareena Kapoor's sister-in-law? And where do I stand among them? Actor Soha Ali Khan's debut audiobook is at heart a brilliant collection of personal essays where she recounts with self-deprecating humor what it was like growing up in one of the most illustrious families of the country.

Few actors in Hindi cinema have had Rishi Kapoor's sort of a career arc: from the gawky adolescent pining for his schoolteacher ( Mera Naam Joker, 1970) to the naughty 90-year-old ( Kapoor & Sons, 2016), Rishi Kapoor has regaled audiences for close to 50 years. He won a National Award for his debut, became an overnight sensation with his first film as a leading man ( Bobby, 1973), and carved a niche for himself with a string of romantic musical blockbusters.

Publisher's Summary
Karan Johar is synonymous with success, panache, quick wit, and outspokenness, which sometimes inadvertently creates controversy and makes headlines. KJo, as he is popularly called, has been a much-loved Bollywood film director, producer, actor, and discoverer of new talent. With his flagship Dharma Production, he has constantly challenged the norms, written and rewritten rules, and set trends.
But who is the man behind the icon we all know? Baring all for the first time in his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy, KJo reminisces about his childhood, the influence of his Sindhi mother and Punjabi father, obsession with Bollywood, foray into films, friendships with Aditya Chopra, SRK and Kajol, his love life, the AIB roast, and much more. In his trademark frank style, he talks about the ever-changing face of Indian cinema, challenges, and learnings, as well as friendships and rivalries in the industry.
Honest, heart-warming and insightful, An Unsuitable Boy is both the story of the life of an exceptional filmmaker at the peak of his powers and of an equally extraordinary human being who shows you how to survive and succeed in life.

An interesting journey of a filmmaker
When I started this book, I was expecting a pompous Sobo rich brat narrate his biopic. But through the chapters, specially the ones with the troubled childhood made the book very relatable. Just realised that you have been highly misinterpreted and after this book, have developed A newfound respect for you Karan johar, for being you, for the choices you have made, for the times you have stood up, for your friendships and loyalties, for your love for family and films, for your 6th sense about films..all of it, happy to have read this book.

An unconditional path!!
I too, had a bad perception about this person, but after reading this book my perception has completely changed. Actually this man is very humble, simple and practical at heart. Generally, people argue that rich man can't understand hardships, deprivation and poverty of poor people. This man, however, have proved it wrong. Indeed, people like him is very rare who could bring smile to people's face, although It's momentous, but he could do that. People, quite often blame him that he only bring superficial, fantasy and hallow happiness on the screen that doesn't exist on the ground, but they neglect the fact that at least his movies provide a movement when audience reflect upon their life, and dreams to become someone special in this universe. and the kids moral lessons and family bonding his story offer is really incredible ❤️.

Ruined expectation
I found autobiography was a self obsessed one, so much of own praise. I was expecting it to be a chat patta experience but it wasn't. My one extra ⭐ is only due to its last chapters that can connect to common people feeling and experience.

Candid monologue
It's a candid monologue of a creative person who struggled with his capabilities. The journey of discovery of his abilities and success has jotted down very well by Karan Johar, the narration is as good as listening to him. Gaurav Sajjanhar has imitated his tone very well.
It's good to know the thinking process of a creative person and his views on different situations in his life.
I didn't like him much before reading this book, but now I admire him for his openness.
