Publisher's Summary
"While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their images with sheer, almost irrational force, I've found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition." Some of the best stories and insights
I have been following Ryan holiday for sometime and this book was just as expected - excellent. The stories and examples placed before us are great and the final interview between Tim and Ryan is too good.

Amazing content and a stunning narration
I started with this book thinking it to be a collection of dos and donts but it turned out to be much more thought provoking and personal than I thought it would be. Must-listen for everyone.

a 10000 foot view of yourself and your identity
must read . it inspires you to stay on ground and look at the world around you . I would come back to this book for sure to add my experience to the words I heard .
narration could have been more engaging , the content is powerful so it didn't affect me much

Great advice
Audible has been such a great resource to use. Hearing this book by the author itself was amazing.
Though the concepts are simple enough, the stories get the point across well and help retain the learnings better. Great resource to keep coming back to and reminding myself that ego is the enemy and the only person getting in the way is ourselves.

Well written and narrated, through this book you start to recognize so many things about yourself you never even knew existed.
This book teaches you to become more self aware and that’s the first step towards self improvement. I cannot wait to go through the entire book again.

Good Book. Narration could be improved.
The book is a one time read. It has good stories but looks stretched at a few places.

Great book for anyone interested in Stoicism and Self Improvement
I didn't quite agree with Ryan's views on passion in this book but overall really enjoyed the stories and the idea of not analysing life through the lens of ego.

Uncomfortable Self Reflection
This books is "Uncomfortable Self Reflection", it battles your ego and exposes you in ways you can't imagine.
If you are looking to improve and make your life better, this is the place to start. Specially when you think you are devoid of Ego.
Ryan Holiday has decided the book into three parts
1. Aspire
2. Succeed
3. Failure
and he goes on to explain how Ego is the enemy in all three chapters of life.
Great, Great Book.
Definitely Something I am going to re-visit every year.
