Adrian lives in the UK with his wife and children.
Born in Yorkshire, he's spent time living in Essex, Oxford, Leicestershire and York. At 18 he joined the British army and spent 6 years as a soldier in the infantry. His service included several tours of Northern Ireland, Kenya, Belgium, Norway and an operation with the special forces in Sierra Lione.
His love of fantasy began with reading Tolkien, Terry Brookes, Terry Pratchett and Stephen King - continuing on to The Wheel of Time, Robin Hobb, J.K Rowling, Brandon Sanderson, Joe Abercrombie and many others.
He has many titles, including the best-selling book Gallows Born from the Bane of the North series. His other best-selling books are Rise of the Draugr, The Crooked Shard - from the same series - and Dylap and Blood Thorn from the Dylap trilogy. He's also published the Daughter of Chaos series, Merry Wish and other titles.
When he's not reading or writing, he likes to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren - searching for fairies and playing pirates.
