I live by the sea in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I haven’t always lived by the sea, but it has always been a life-long dream of mine. Now I call it home.
As a young adult I was completely enthralled by Robert Ludlum’s "Jason Bourne" series and that sparked my early desire to write the kind of nail-biting stories that captivated and enthralled me as a young reader.
Growing up in the eighties, my biggest regret is that it took me years before I could afford to get my first computer. That put my plans to be a writer on hold, and during the wait something called a career interfered further with my dream. Still, the desire to be a writer burned beneath the daily mundanities of work life and I was always contriving stories in the back of my mind.
Finally, in 2013, almost thirty years after those early pen-on-paper forgotten ideas first made their way onto the page, I completed Lost Soul: Immortality, my first novel. This wasn't the only book I had been working on over the years. There were still many an unfinished manuscript cluttering up the “work in progress” folder on my laptop when I triumphantly wrote the words “the end” for the very first time on a manuscript. The idea for the book came from a dream, and developed into my first ever Urban Fantasy Suspense novel.
Since those humble beginnings I’ve written 10 novels across different genres, but all with one common theme - suspense. Nail-biting, edge of your seat, can’t put it down , where's the popcorn suspense. I’ve created heroes and anti-heroes. I’ve created worlds of crime and comedy, and even crossed over into the afterlife. But you’ll find that once you get into my world, you’ll be in for a nail-biting ride to the end.
Three of my books have won accolades in writing competitions. One of my books made my wife cry for hours. One of my books made her call my mother to complain about the ending. What will they do for you?
I write because I love to entertain. I write because there’s power in words – the power to move someone, to take them to another place, to work their emotions so that they love and hate the character I’ve created, so that they laugh and cry. I write because for just a moment, I have your undivided attention, and for just that moment, I can carry you into my world and entertain you.
