Born amidst the rolling hills of Scotland, Alastair Pack is a writer who infuses his novels with a unique blend of humour and fantasy. He draws upon a rich tapestry of life experiences, a passion for historical exploration, and an enduring love for the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and Terry Pratchett. Alastair has spent much time in higher education and worked everywhere from gardens to libraries. He began his novel-writing career with the comedy Quentin Cundick and the Web of Machinations, a testament to a quirky wit and clever turn of phrase. His fascination with the medieval period and a passion for exploring castles and historical sites led him to author Legacy and Kinship, the first two books in Legends of the Deft - a series that is both the product of a wild imagination and the result of meticulous crafting. He has already penned the majority of the series, eagerly anticipated by his growing reader base, and is diligently refining the drafts to his satisfaction. When not immersed in crafting his tales, Alastair can be found delving into non-fiction books, enjoying theatre and cinema, or reminiscing about his time performing and writing for the Edinburgh Fringe during his university days. His adventurous spirit has seen him skydive solo and dabble in martial arts and archery. Alastair Pack invites you to join him in his literary world, where mirth and myth cross paths, and every page turn promises an adventure unlike any other.
