I'm Aleisha the Founder of Bridechilla! I was inspired to start The Bridechilla Podcast after planning my own wedding (to my fabulous co-founder and husband Rich).
I was shocked by the level of A1 bullshit surrounding the wedding industry and all of the pressure placed on couples to plan a 'perfect day’.
I bought a mic and started talking about all of the stuff that helped us ditch the stress and pressure and enjoy wedding planning.
Bridechilla has now had over a million listens and helped thousands of brides become Bridechillas, or ‘chillas’ as they like to be called.
The Bridechilla community is a movement of diverse couples who want to organise their wedding like a boss and stay focused on what matters most.
And planning a wedding like a boss — that’s where the Bridechilla Guides come in.
Most wedding planning guides on the market assume two things: that the bride wants to follow tradition and that they are marrying a man. After a conversation in the Bridechilla Community, I was encouraged to make something different.
Capturing the ethos of the podcast, The Guides are bullshit-free, useful and fun.
The Bridechilla Survival Guide features real advice for real people on real budgets. It lets you know that it’s ok not to enjoy every aspect of planning a wedding, and include chapters like It’s OK to Feel Like Shit and The F*ck it Bucket, where Aleisha encourages her Chillas to drop unfinished DIY tasks, things they can’t afford and traditions that are meaningless to them
The Bridechilla Field Guide contains all the lists, questions for vendors and logistical details you need to plan your wedding without losing your chill. It’s fill-out-able and importantly, doesn’t contain references to ‘perfection’ or ‘the best day of your life’.
Teamed together, with The Guides you’ll be on a fast track to wedding planning zen.
