Alexandra Veal is a force of nature who seamlessly juggles her roles as a devoted mother and wife, pioneering city manager, and enthusiastic farm dweller. Raised on a sprawling family farm in the heart of rural Georgia, Alexandra learned the values of hard work and responsibility from an early age. These skills have served her well as she blazes trails as the first female city manager in her community, where her love for her hometown and its people shines brightly.
At home, Alexandra is the proud mom of three energetic kids: a spirited 5-year-old boy, a curious 2-year-old boy, and a delightful newborn girl who already has the whole family wrapped around her tiny fingers. Life on the farm is never dull, with Alexandra's days filled with the laughter of her children, the background music of mooing cows and daily rides with her family around their property. The same property where she grew up is where they now reside where there is always fence to repair, grass to mow, hay to bale and limbs to pick up. This family farm is a great deal of work, but serves as her connection to her ancestry going back four generations on the same place.
With a passion for community and an unwavering commitment to her roots, Alexandra is dedicated to making her town a better place for everyone. Her leadership is fueled by the love and support of her family and a beautiful spirit of collaboration between all of the entities that make dreams a reality and help accomplish goals for the greater good of all. She has worked on local initiatives for more than 10 years and continues to come up with new ideas daily.
Whether she's managing city affairs or managing bedtime stories, Alexandra approaches each day with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit of adventure. She believes that a strong community is built on the bonds between its people, and she's determined to nurture those connections, one handshake and hug at a time.
When she's not in the office or wrangling her trio of little ones, you can find her enjoying time with friends that are more like family down by the river.
