Alexandre Ribeiro, writer, 22 years old. Author of the poetry book "Inflorescence" and the winning novel of the ProAC Prose Award 2018 "Reserved". Alexandre is a resident of Favela da Torre in Diadema, but due to a scholarship he is currently living in Germany.
Since 2016 the young man has been developing work with peripheral literature around the world. In 2017, he started working as a Columnist for the Itaú Cultural website, and in sequence was a finalist for the Jabuti award with the book "Prato Firmeza: Guia gastronômico das quebradas de São Paulo". Until mid-2018 he was a Production Assistant at Laboratório Fantasma, Emicida's company.
Also in 2018 he was awarded in ProAC Prose, and published his first novel independently. In 2019, Alexandre was invited and attended the Frankfurt Book Fair, where he released "Reserved", the English translated version of his debut novel. In 2020 the young man attended the Porto Book Fair and had appearances in newspapers after selling his own book to the President of Portugal. The author's new novel, "Da Quebrada Pro Mundo," is being edited and will be published in 2021.
