Alice Lichtenstein's debut novel, "The Genius of the World," (Zoland Books, Cambridge, MA, 2000) received high acclaim from critics, including Alan Cheuse (National Public Radio) and Nina Sonenberg of the NEW YORK TIMES.
Her novel, "Lost," (Scribner, NY, NY, 2010) received rave reviews from NPR, PEOPLE Magazine, and several national newspapers and magazines. "Lost" was a 2011 finalist in the IMPAC DUBLIN International Literary Contest, and has been translated into several languages, including Chinese.
Alice graduated from Brown University (BA,'79) and from Boston University (MA, '82), where she was named the Boston University Fellow in Creative Writing.
Alice lives in Oneonta, NY, and Surry, Maine and teaches fiction writing at Hartwick College.
