Professor Amy Brown is Director of the centre for Lactation, Infant Feeding and Translation (LIFT) at Swansea University in the UK.
With a background in psychology, she first became interested in the many barriers women face when breastfeeding whilst pregnant with her first baby. Three babies, a PhD and over 100 academic publications later, she has spent the last fourteen years exploring how we can better support parents through pregnancy, birth and the first year of parenting, with a focus on feeding, caring for babies, and mental health. She is a regular blogger, aiming to change the way we think about breastfeeding, mothering and caring for our babies.
