Anders W. Edwardsson was born in the small village of Dalskog, Sweden. Raised in a family with ties to America, his interest in U.S. history sparked at a young age. Witnessing Ronald Reagan's presidency at ten years old in 1980 ignited his passion for politics. In 1988, he became one of Sweden’s youngest local parliament members and served as deputy campaign leader for the New Democracy party in 1991. Despite his involvement in politics, Anders later shifted his focus to academia after brief stints in journalism and business. He pursued a Master's in History at Uppsala University, graduating in 2002. His fascination with U.S. history led him to the University of North Dakota for a year of study before fulfilling his childhood dream of working as an archaeologist in Ireland and the U.K. Returning to Sweden in 2007, Anders became a syndicated columnist and authored two books on Swedish history. However, his heart remained in America, leading him to pursue a Ph.D. in Politics at The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., where he met and married his wife Jen in 2012. In 2016, he became a U.S. citizen and currently resides outside Tampa, Florida, working as an author and media commentator. In his leisure time, he enjoys biking to town, relaxing under palm trees, and cherishing the company of good friends, exotic foods, and his beloved cats, who played a part in his latest book.
