Anna Gouker has been raising eyebrows and exceeding expectations her entire life. Born in 1986 with a genetic disability that, when diagnosed at eight months, prompted doctors to inform her parents that she would not likely live past age two. While Anna's physical disability requires her to use a sophisticated motorized wheelchair and a variety of cutting-edge ventilator equipment, she is continuing to successfully push the limits everywhere she goes. Having grown up in a small community in northern Illinois, Anna was adopted by Wisconsin in 2011 when she began graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing her Master's degree in rehabilitation psychology, Anna began her career in social services using her motivational interviewing skills and passion for advocacy to collaborate with individuals with disabilities in pursuit of their employment goals. Through professional speaking, her podcast "Lead The Way with Anna Gouker," and other work, Anna maintains her professional focus to promote employment and other quality of life solutions on behalf of people with disabilities.
