Anthony John and his three younger siblings were born and raised in Glasgow by their mother. He currently lives between Southampton and Spain but has lived in various cities in the north and south of England, and in Germany.
During his Army service he studied psychology at the Open University and taught a variety of military subjects.
He has long been plagued by the thought that people are more alike than not, until they're not. Culling Earth, his debut novel, attempts to explore this idea, in an apocalyptic, dystopian environment, as does the sequel, Unsanctioned Alterations.
