Ava Johansson is first a proud parent of three kids and then an author who writes a range of mindfulness and self-help books for kids.
Becoming a children’s author was not by design; it all came about after struggling for years to get her kids to sleep well.
“For years I struggled to find a solution to this problem. Seeing my kids running around like an energetic Labrador chasing a ball when they should be in their "sloth zone" and catching lots of Zzzzzzzz's––broke my heart.”
Ava tried many solutions to try and fix this problem, but nothing worked until she introduced guided meditation to their daily routine.
Suddenly, her kids’ sleep and sleep patterns improved, and as a result, they were more energetic, healthier, and happier.
Ava knew that many other parents and their children were suffering from poor sleep health. She was passionate about sharing what she had learned about introducing guided meditation to kids’ daily routines.
However, Ava wanted to create something fun and exciting so that kids would be more likely to get immersed into the whole mindfulness eco-system and improve their chances of adopting this new behavior.
Her creative and captivating stories have proven to be a great way to help parents introduce guided meditation to their kids in a fun and easy-to-learn package.
Ava Johansson was born and raised in Stockholm and now resides in Miami.
When she is not writing in her favorite coffee shop, Ava spends most of her time practicing guided meditation and yoga. She is also an avid reader who enjoys cooking and traveling the world.
