As a nurse, I see a lot of things that would scare anyone. I retreat into my children's imagination when I can. Their drawings have inspired my novel and their attention has lengthened it to a series.
With the recent troubles in the world, I have been scrambling to cover work and create a world where my readers can retreat from their thoughts, if only for a short time.
I used to struggle through my life without many purposes beyond my children and work. Writing has opened doors I never thought would even be in front of me.
