Brad Newbold grew up in a small mountain town located north of Los Angeles, where the open prairies and pinion pine trees fostered a profound sense of curiosity and wonder in him from a young age. His upbringing in such a slow-paced setting not only provided him with a quiet place to think and dream but also planted the seeds for his deep interests in history, theology, and philosophy. Brad’s passion for these subjects is further spiced with an unhealthy love of pop culture, blending the ancient and modern in his unique perspective. This combination of interests and inspirations propelled Brad to pen his debut thriller, “The Fear Protocol.” The novel is a reflection of his eclectic passions, weaving complex historical and philosophical themes with the thrilling elements of modern-day suspense. The book explores the way maleficent forces in power use fear as a tool, making readers question what lies behind the powers and principalities of our day. Outside of his writing career, Brad enjoys discussions and debates about reformed theology, often delving into the profound theological questions that have shaped centuries of religious thought. These discussions may also somehow include some of his favorite things, like The Goonies, Pearl Jam, and Stephen King. Brad’s personal life is as full and rich as his intellectual pursuits. He currently resides in Middle Tennessee, where he and his wife have embraced the challenges and joys of homesteading. Together with their six children, they manage a bustling household that never quite operates at an acceptable volume. Whether he’s tending to the garden, catching piglets to sell, or simply enjoying the chaos of a large family, Brad finds the simplicity and authenticity of homestead life a grounding contrast to the complex themes he explores in his professional work.
