Hi, my name is Brenda Girven and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I am the mother of two children; Brandi and Bryan. I have worked with children of all ages and cultures. Prior to becoming a Children book author I held previous jobs working with children in many genres such as; Adoption and Foster Care, Juvenile court, School Psychologist and a Child Therapist.
Two years ago I was involved in a car accident that left me visually impaired. I thought to myself how do I now deal with this new norm for my life and at that moment the inspiration to write children books became very clear to me. I first published an audible book that I had written 15 years prior "FOLLOW THE ANT" and from that beginning I started drawing from all the years of experience of helping children work through their perceived issues.
