Hello Dear Reader. I grew up in southeastern Oklahoma where I did things most country boys did. I had the run of about 180 acres of unspoiled Sooner ranch land where I spent time fishing, feeding livestock, hauling hay, riding ATV's, hiking the woods and playing with my dogs. All of those things I loved (some more in memory than in reality), and they are sweet in the hindsight of my introspection. However, I was always a reader. An inspired reader. A voracious, insatiable bibliophile. I consumed the written word from anything I could get my hands on. Even now, I still read thirty to fifty books a year, and listen to more from audio files. I found out in about the sixth grade that I was a writer too. Those two passions fueled a successful education and carried me through to a writing degree at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. As many of my generation can attest, a college degree does not mean a job, and I've spent my adulthood in roles that I'm good at, but not in love with, and none of them allowed me to write creatively. Well, better late than never I've heard it said. Now in my middle years, I've found that I want to do more of what I love, and less of what I have to. God is always faithful. He is good all the time. By his inspiration and persistence, I am now doing what he calls me to. I'm finding more and more that what he calls me to is worship and servitude, but by his blessing, I also get some time to read and write. My life is full of grace, but I've also got a beautiful wife of 20 years, 3 fantastic kids, 2 yapping dogs and 1 each of a glorious grandchild, a live-in mother in law, and an awesome cat. I hang my hat in Missouri now, but wherever I go, God beats me there. Find me here on Amazon or at thekeysmith.com
