Carole T. Beers is a nationally known Women Writing the West WILLA Literary Award winner, a multi-Will Rogers Medallion Award winner, and a Society of Professional Journalists Honoree, now creating NEW WEST MYSTERIES WITH HEART.
Horses, writing and the modern American West are in Beers' blood. Born to descendants of Oregon Trail pioneers, she studied in England with The Experiment in International Living, earned an honors Journalism degree at the University of Washington and wrote for romance and horse magazines. Worked for 32 years at the Pulitzer-winning Seattle Times.
Along the way she designed clothes, flew planes and competed on a women's shooting team.
