Catalina Laschon, Accredited Financial Counselor® Your Forest FIRE Ally™ Catalina loves her time with her family above everything else. Together with her husband Robert, they build, brick by brick, their path to Forest FIRE. Which is just a fancy way to say that they work towards their Financial Independence goals while living right next to a picturesque forest. As a New Immigrant herself and an Accredited Financial Counselor®, Catalina enjoys spending time with other New Immigrants and their Allies. In their time together, they explore skills and career growth scenarios, and ways to manage personal finances better. They sometimes talk about coming to terms with their decision to relocate to the United States, as New Immigrants, and about alternative, potential success routes in their new country. It is a Journey, for both Catalina and for those she coaches. She feels incredible admiration for the resilience demonstrated by New Immigrants, day in and day out, and she is proud to be a part of their lives. Catalina finds meaning in serving as the Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force with the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education® (AFCPE®), in a volunteering capacity, where she leads the mission, education strategy, and community activation. She is a writer, a pro bono career and money coach for New Immigrants, and she works in Corporate America. *** Book Launch Alert! Catalina just launched Volume One, "You’re Moving to America... Now What? Your Life and Money Survival Guide During That First Year", of the “Brave and Glorious New Immigrants in Corporate America” trilogy, specifically designed for New Immigrants and their Allies. In her own words: "No matter if you're considering relocating to the United States, you're going through the relocation process right now, or you're already living here, this book helps you take data-driven decisions and feel more in control of your new environment. If my story can help you, or anyone you know, reduce the initial adjustment time from 2-3 years to 6-8 months, my work here is done. You are brave, ambitious, and have bold dreams. You deserve to be informed and know what to expect so that you can be successful here, from Day One." Get your copy today! It’s honest, raw, and humorous, and quite unlike any book about life and money that you have ever read. Take a look and leave a review!
