Welcome back to my world. I am now sixty-two years old and have been a registered nurse for thirty-seven years. I am still actively working in the hospital setting. I enjoy the hospital setting. I have strong experience in several different areas of hospital work, and I have trained countless numbers of new graduates and transitioning nurses. While working alongside these new nurses I have also helped many co-workers with the guidance they needed to help them gain some direction for their careers. I am a strong time manager and I enjoy teaching my skills to others. I believe in the motto “Do not eat your young” and I get great satisfaction in knowing that I can and have helped others to grow in their career. Nursing is a noble profession, it is emotionally, mentally and financially rewarding. If you are not in the nursing profession, I hope that you have chosen an equally rewarding field of work. Be strong, be competent, be happy that you can be helpful to someone else that needs to learn from you at whatever level you are working at. I wish you well, I wish you success, I wish you a content sense of accomplishment with your work. I hope you take away a good positive feeling about yourself and your work after reading this short book. I do not want to burden anyone with a long, drawn out “How To” book, but I do aim to stir your mind and imagination into promoting your accomplishments, and achieving your goals. Your career should be your job, your reward should be how helpful you can be to other people. The negativity in the world can overburden so many people, I would like to think that if you help generate and display positivity, that vibe can be contagious. Thank you for your time and attention. I hope that I have helped you in a positive way
