Catrin Lewis is widely known by her friends and colleagues as a communications unicorn. She was gifted this name by her colleagues a long time ago. She never quite understood why, until now.
As Global Head of Internal Communications and Engagement for Reward Gateway, it's her job to connect employees to the purpose, mission and values of the business. She instils trust and loyalty from employees whilst ensuring they enjoy their time at work and are given everything they need to do their jobs with a smile on their face.
Her first book, The Little Unicorn - An Adventure into the Disengagement Dangerzone, was inspired by a corporate business presentation. It was a number driven, jargon-filled, hour-long Keynote with low-level audience engagement. She knew that it shouldn’t have to be this way. We may be adults, we may be working in big businesses, we may pretend we all like this complex corporate lingo and business beigeness… but the truth is, we don’t.
So Catrin teaches us business in a brand new way. Through fairytales and fables that keep our imagination alive. If you like to delight and surprise if you’re drawn to the unique and unexpected. She is the author for you. She strongly believes that life is too short to not enjoy it. She learnt from a young age to always speak up and understand the importance of everyday happiness. Catrin is a regular speaker at events throughout Europe. She won IC Professional of the Year at the IC Brilliance Awards in 2017 and blogs frequently on the Reward Gateway blog.
