Che' Ra'Koo Harris is a remarkable man who has overcome many challenges and achieved many successes in his life. He was born in the Bronx, NY, in the 1970s, when the area was plagued by crime, poverty and violence. He witnessed the brutality of the Fort Apache Police Department and the terror of the Son of Sam serial killer. His family moved to Dallas, TX, in the early 1980s, where he faced a different kind of injustice: the corrupt and ruthless criminal justice system led by Henry Wade, the legendary prosecutor who was famous for his "convict at all costs" philosophy. Wade was involved in some of the most notorious cases in American history, such as the Jack Ruby trial, the Roe v. Wade case and the wrongful convictions of many innocent people.
Che' Ra'Koo Harris was one of those innocent people. He was falsely accused and convicted of sexual assault under Wade's regime, and suffered humiliation, discrimination, and was socially cast as pariah as a result of this conviction. As part of his sentencing, his name was to be listed with the worst of all vial offenders for the rest of his natural life. Against all oddities he fought hard for over a decade to clear his name and expose the truth, and eventually succeeded in proving his innocence and achieving what many deemed as impossible by having his name removed from the Texas registry of sex offenders. He wrote a book about his ordeal, titled "Convict at all costs Ra' v Wade and the way to impossible", which details his personal struggle and his critique of the flawed legal system.
Prior to engaging in the fight of his life, Che' had forged a world of consistent achievements despite the incredible hardships of his youth. While attending Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX he received multiple accommodations including being recognized by the Dallas Regional/National Alliance of Black School Educators and inducted into The Scholars Hall of Honor Class of 1988. He was also acknowledged for his exceptional athletic performances on the football field as well. By the strength of his character on the field his coaches unanimously select him as Team Captain, for his extraordinary skill showcased he had numerous offers coming in from across the country and Che' chose to continue his education on a full athletic scholarship from Cameron University in Lawton, OK, which he graduated from in 1993 with a double major in Business Management and Communications. He founded Ra'Koo Nation Entertainment, LLC dba RKN, LLC in 2006, a multi-media production company that specializes in music recordings, music videos, online radio and TV production shows. He hosted his own show "Ra'Koo Radio" on RKN Internet Radio/TV Network, which aired over 10 shows a week on various topics. He is also credited with airing the first live streaming TV/Radio show in 2012, which is now commonly referred to as "Podcasting".
