Chris Convissor was born in southern Mi. Her parents, first generation US Citizens, bestowed hard working, honest ethics and a love of the Arts and Nature. From an early age she possessed a certain proclivity for expressing memories of other times. She wrote her first story when she learned cursive in the third grade. A voracious reader, some of her favourite works arise from Greek mythology, stories told by word of mouth and stories handed down from previous generations. She graduated with High Honors from MSU in Photography and Writing and began her pursuit of living an instinctive life, working a variety of outdoor jobs and traveling as much as possible. Her first published novel, The Urn Carrier, has earned a School Library Journal review. It was also reviewed by Voya online. The Urn Carrier was a finalist in the Debut Author Golden Crown Literary Society Awards, held in Chicago July 8th, 2017. The Urn Carrier was awarded finalist and winner (placing 1st of 3) in the Dramatic/General Fiction category for the 2017 GCLS Awards. The Urn Carrier is a Winner in Bisexual and Transgender - Contemporary General Fiction December,2017 Rainbow Awards The novel is a Winner in Best Debut Transgender, Rainbow Awards December, 2017 and a runner-up in Best Transgender Novel Rainbow Awards, December 2017 Honorable Mention in Overall Fiction Rainbow Awards 2017. I am grateful to the Awards innovators, readers and judges. My deep appreciation to Bedazzled Ink Press, Claudia Wilde, publisher and C. A. Casey, Editor, and Elisa Rainbow.
