Before becoming an author, Christie Monson enjoyed a career as an elementary special education teacher, private tutor for high school students, and consultant to parents. She had adventures in Minnesota and the Northwest, and became addicted to gardening.
Concerned about her students raised on a diet of violent media, and about violence in the world often initiated in the name of religion, she wrote, The Jesus Question: Daring to Walk the Path of Peace.
But fiction called to her, as well, and she has found delight in creating characters and worlds that could help us all to navigate difficulties in this one. The Dream Loom is available in paperback, e-book, and audio book.
She and her husband and one nutty dog divide their time between the Northern California coast and the Sierra foothills.
