Chuck Walsh began writing in 2004 when he decided to create “something” to honor his mother after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That “something” evolved into A Passage Back, a tale about a man who goes back in time to the days of his youth following the death of his mother. His passion for writing was born, and he has gone on to produce several novels.
His first published work occurred in 2006 when he co-authored a book entitled Faces of Freedom, featuring soldiers from each of the 50 states who died while fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan. In 2012 his fiction novel, A Month of Tomorrows, was released. It was picked up and re-released in June 2014, where it rose to #6 on Amazon's Best Seller list for Historical Fiction. In September 2014 his murder/suspense, Shadows on Iron Mountain, was released. Its sequel, Backwoods Justice, was released in February 2015. In July 2015, A Splintered Dream, a comeback story about a man overcoming incredible odds to be a pro baseball player, was released. And in November, 2015, A Passage Back, the book that ignited Walsh’s love for writing, was released.
His sixth book, Black Mingo Creek, a murder/suspense that takes place in the swamps of the Lowcountry of South Carolina, will be released in the spring of 2018.
Walsh was born and raised in Columbia, SC, though he is a frequent visitor to the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee, the setting for Shadows on Iron Mountain and Backwoods Justice, and homeland to his parents and grandparents. Please visit Walsh’s website at chuckwalshwriter.com
