When we decided to start a family, we thought all we'd have to do is stop using birth control. Didn't happen. We turned to fertility medicine, which didn't exist in my father's America. Barbara finally got pregnant, but we lost a baby girl born too soon. A heart crusher. So, when she became pregnant with triplets, we were terrified. This is a family story about being outnumbered and overwhelmed, committed and sleep-deprived, challenged and blessed, as we loved and raised up our boys. Woven through it are my observations, as a father, about changes taking place in the America our triplets are inheriting, changes that affect all of us. I hope you enjoy the journey.
