Here's an excerpt from the Rockhampton Bulletin about the author, DJ, TV producer, composer, painter, mystic and teacher:-
LUCID dreaming, astral travelling and revelations are just some of the things Rockhampton author Cris Matheson says you can experience in what's known as the "Phase".
Cris, who is a graduate of The Monroe Institute, The College of Inner Knowledge, a current member of the OOBE (Out-of-Body Experience) Research Centre, and author of JC and Me at 33, is hosting three workshops at Holistic Health Centre next month to learn how to enter this new world.
It's a world Cris said he's been navigating for over 30 years.
"Lucid dreaming, OOBEs (Out-of-Body Experiences), astral travelling, and even revelations occur in the Phase, and I personally have used this space to do all these things and more," he said.
"Studies show that the majority of people (60% to 90%) can enter the Phase within a few weeks if they follow certain procedures exactly. The Tibetans, for example, have practiced dream yoga for thousands of years and even the Dalai Lama is said to be an expert in the practice.
"This course is intensely practical and will keep mysticism to a minimum. Learning to enter the phase is just a skill to be learnt and as such is no different than learning to drive a car."
Also a comedic author, Cris got the comedy itch when he co-wrote the Alien Television Workshop variety series which successfully aired in Australia and England to an audience of 500,000.
This led in a roundabout but inescapable way to his classic comedy memoir Bex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll.
And the follow-up to that, JC and me at 33, Cris said linked to his interest in enlightenment via phasing, lucid dreaming, meditation, and other means, as well as telling his hilarious life story.
