Crysta was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas. She has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of North Texas, a second bachelor’s degree in media advertising from the University of Texas at El Paso, and is currently working on a master’s in social work at the University of Texas at Arlington.
When not writing, she can be found spending time with her pets (2 dogs, 3 cats, and a horse), or trying out new makeup looks – especially anything with red lipstick! She also enjoys playing video games and watching movies or true crime documentaries.
