This is me, Dani Forrest, a writer from about the age of eight. I began with incredibly optimistic, stapled-together notebook paper books about girls who had dogs and horses and who lived in worlds where pluckiness always saved the day and also resulted in additional dogs and horses.

And then the journaling inspired a book that took shape mostly after my husband passed away in 2017. That one is “52 Pickup: Life in Perfect Disorder.”
Prior to that in publishing but written subsequently is “I Am Pink, co-written with my friend and fellow seeker Gregory Copploe. And there will be more, because writing is the one thing other than moving my body that keeps me from losing my mind and that also brings me joy.
I live in California with three irritable cats but also with a very definite sense of possibility.
