What is there to tell about Daniel Lewis? By his own admission he's Mr Average. Average height, average weight, average grades, average at sports, average looking, averagely popular. What's different about him? Nothing. He grew up in an average house in Southampton in the UK. He wasn't spoilt but he wasn't mistreated either. He's never been struck by lightning, he didn't win the lottery, he's never been in trouble with the law. Except for that one time when.....never mind. Anyway, there's nothing much to tell.
That is until his late 20's when an epileptic seizure struck out of the blue and led to a shock diagnosis. He kept a regular blog of his experiences from early on in his treatment which drew attention from an increasing audience, and after further life-changing surprises over the next few years, followers began suggesting he should think about writing a book.
Brain Tumours for Dummy's is his far-from-average, deeply personal account of how he overcame brain cancer to become a father to triplets.
Dan's book is available as a digital download or paperback on Amazon and has been featured in The Daily Echo and on BBC Radio.
Having caught the writing bug he is currently working on some new projects, but when he's not jotting down ideas he and his partner, Sarah, enjoy spending every spare moment with their precious children, Jarvis, Joel and Leila.
