My husband Juan and I live on the island of Kauai. Together, we have seven amazing children. I write from a lifetime of youth work experience. I have served as a young adults pastor, an adventure camp director, and a recreational guide for the military. I love God and I love people.
As I journey through life, i notice a hunger for direction in people of all ages; a hunger for a mothers strong guiding voice. I realized the same hunger exist in me. I believe it correlates to the tribal principal of learning from those who came before us, in essence, the wisdom of the ancestors. I also observe when the “blessing” or lessons do not come from our parents, there are ways to get them from others, and at any age.
So here is my heart. I am called to motherhood; my writings seek to offer guidance, not endless questions, nor indoctrination. I believe a mothers guidance is innately foundational, even though so many of us never really receive it. My work definitely and purposefully carries messages, messages even more lofty than are realistic. Through dialogue and story telling, i seek to free and empower my readers with foundational truths and strengthen their own moral compasses.
