I'm and ex-convict who spent 15 years in Texas prison for robbery and escape. I have been out on parole with a life sentence since 2006. My life is a success story. Starting off, I didn't have a chance. Every one of my friends from my childhood neighborhood are dead, as far as I know, except for me an one other guy whom I will not name. At one time I could say some were in prison but the last one hung himself not long ago. So the fact that I'm even alive shouts success! I never had anything. I never did anything good. I was a liar and a thief. I had my moments. My family saw the good in me. A few women along the way have also but my dominate nature always ruled out and I'd eventually screw up everything and ruin my life and other peoples as well. Prison didn't rehabilitate me. There's no such thing as rehabilitation. I just got tired and had to figure out how to live in a society that won't tolerate people stealing from them. I was tired of being who I was and one night I told God Himself how I was feeling. A few days later I had a profound spiritual experience. God had heard me. Today I have a wife who loves me, I own a home and I've won back the trust of my family. Even their respect. I write what I know about. Crime. I consider myself somewhat of an expert on the subject and many of my books are based on things that I've actually done. For example, I was an Uber driver for over a year and most of the things that Dylan Coletrain encounter are things that I actually did aside from the story itself. I just released my autobiography as a work of fiction called An Outlaw's Redemption. It consists of stories from a life that most will find unbelievable but they are true from facing down a Mountain Lion to going head to head with the Guatemalan Army(well if you call running from them with a bullet in my leg going head to head).
