David Ray was born in Dayton, Ohio, but grew up all over the South while his father served in the United States Air Force until 1986, when they settled down in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He joined the US Army in 2009 and continues to serve his country as an Aviation Warrant Officer. He has deployed over six times, and was awarded the Bronze Order of Saint Michael for his contributions by the Army Aviation Association of America (Quad A). He currently resides in Central Texas with his wife and four of seven kids at home. His children have inspired him to write five children’s books with his latest “The Lost Treasure: Chief and Tuck’s Adventures” a heartwarming tale of friendship, adventure, and discovery.
