Dennis Boyd Call was born and raised just outside of the small farming community of Rigby, Idaho, in the southeast part of the state. He was born on November 11, 1934. Raising beef cattle, milking dairy cows, and raising spuds (potatoes) was the life he knew, until a few years after his marriage at age eighteen to Connie Wheeler. Ultimately, they found their way to Southern California where he learned to plaster swimming pools, a twenty-three-year-long career. A new career opportunity then emerged for him as a sales representative, then district sales manager, for a principle hospital products firm. This career lasted for eleven years before a major health issue forced a five-year hiatus from gainful employment. However, at age sixty-one a new career window opened and Dennis immersed himself in the financial services profession. After more than twenty years, he took retirement and is now engaged in his secret passion: writing. Connie passed away in 2016, but their delightful and wonderful marriage produced three daughters and three sons, twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren ... so far.
