Diane Clehane is a New York Times best-selling author and award-winning journalist who has reported on and written about the lives of some of the world’s most intriguing people for Vanity Fair, Forbes, Worth, People and many other national publications. Her new book, "Imagining Diana," an alternate history novel, imagines what Princess Diana's life would have been like if she survived the crash. Diane was inspired to write the book after lunching with Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, in 2015 when she realized how strongly Diana's influence was still felt by those who knew her in the years after her death. People.com has called the novel "one of the best books on Diana." The book has garnered a wave of media coverage in international outlets including The New York Times and The Daily Mail. Author Erica Jong praised "Imagining Diana" as "the first book about Diana that presents her as a real woman ... fascinating and well-written." This is Diane's second book on the late princess. Diana The Secrets of Her Style, which chronicled the princess' role as a style icon, was published in 1998 and was cited by USA Today for it's "good grasp of Diana's fashion transformation" describing it as "a solid fashion history."
