Writer, student of writing, experimenter in communications, manuscript coach, inspirer, wife, dog mother, stepmother, bicycle enthusiast but not in those clothes, and swimmer/hiker depending on where I am. A late bloomer, I am reaching adolescence in my early 60's. Before that, so many family secrets and so much of myself were hidden, that I couldn't possibly know who I was. Now I know that I'll never be a gardener, and I know I'll always be a reader of everything. Although I look outgoing as if I was an extrovert, I'm that weird blend: I have a master of science degree in mental health counseling and find that geeky stuff interesting. Also, art: I've been around it for a long time--at the Guggenheim Museum, New York, where I worked--with much love for painting, video, and sculpture, and those fearless souls who create it. I sing to no one except in the car and write for myself to see if I can. I can. Go deeper, get stronger is my motto.
