Donna H. Black’s existing and upcoming works include poetry, adult fiction, and non-fiction. Her various works often relate back to the natural world where all the lessons worth learning are taught. Her penchant for conflicted motivations and feelings as seen in her fiction also plays out in her life. Her job as a project manager for a construction firm has her developing real estate by day, while working to preserve natural areas for wild habitats in her free time. Writer, avid photographer, traveler, University of Tennessee horticulturist, native plant defender, turtle rescuer, science lover, Donna Black writes, rejoices in family and nature, and struggles with the rest of the world. She lives, works, writes, and frets in middle Georgia where she and her husband have raised two kids to the age of self-sufficiency. Her first book, "Rain and Wind" is a collection of poetry addressing a wide range of topics with an emphasis on nature and man's intersection with it. Two novels, "Risk Tolerance" and "The Editor", were released in 2020, as well. In 2021, "Lucid Dreams", a second poetry collection was released. "Finding Grace" is the next novel Donna will release in late 2021. There are non-fiction books planned, as well. One will review the Chattahoochee River and the mightly legal struggle to protect and rehabilitate it. An additional book will be a celebration of Urban Wildflowers, where her photographs will play a heavy role. Stay tuned valued readers!
