Dr. Alana Berg, originally from Alberta, Canada, discovered at a very young age her desire to help people. This led her to a path of pre-medical training at the University of Alberta, and ultimately to the profession of Naturopathic Medicine, graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2005. She began a full-time practice in 2006, and embarked on developing and honing her professional skills. She has achieved certification by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia in: chelation, acupuncture, IV therapy, pharmacology, and ozone. As well, she has trained in neural therapy, trigger point injections, Bodytalk therapy, Neuropsychokinesiology, and several other courses along the way. Other expertise has been gained directly from working with other doctors and practitioners from the United States, across Western Canada, Mexico and Spain, in order to fully dive into the healing arts. She has worked in integrative practices over the years, but has resided in her current practice, Mission Naturopathic Clinic, with her partner, Dr. Andrea Chambers, and colleague Dr. Audrey Wolter, since 2011.
She has a general family practice, with a special interest in Lyme disease and chronic infections, detoxification and environmental medicine, digestive conditions, auto-immune diseases, men’s and women’s health, and stress management.

She has also always been very excited about education; and she has been heard as an expert on 1150 AM radio, seen on CHBC TV news health tips, and has presented at many forums and public groups on various topics. Her deep passion for healthy living and desire to teach and empower others, has given her a great commitment and dedication to her field. Furthermore, with her own health journey in healing Multiple Sclerosis, she deepened her understanding of health and healing. All of this encouraged her to now shift gears to take this passion to the next level and create this book. She enjoys her off time with her beautiful family, husband Robertson, and daughters Myla and Haylee. They love the outdoors and exploring their beautiful Okanagan home; skiing, hiking, and camping regularly. Travel is a passion, and they regularly incorporate it as much as they can. Both she and her husband have a heart for Africa, having supported, created, and participated in mission trips to the region. Ten percent of all the proceeds from this book will be going to charities that she supports.
