Hayley R. Adams, DVM, PhD, DACVPM, DACVM Dr. Adams has over 20 years of experience in wildlife veterinary medicine, conservation, and issues related to One Health in Africa, and has had the pleasure of working with a variety of domestic and wild animals over the years. She has a particular interest in empowering others to believe they alone can make this world a better place for all beings. She created a charitable organization, Silent Heroes Foundation, in 2010 as a way of contributing to conservation & One Health efforts in Africa. She is a veterinarian, and has a PhD in wildlife epidemiology and virology. She is a board certified Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine and the American College of Veterinary Microbiology. Dr. Adams currently teaches at the University of Florida, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She is also a Certified Meditation Instructor and a Compassion Fatigue Therapist.
