Mom says I was reading at the age of three. Somehow I believe it. Even today, my modest condo is overrun by books of all sorts, and it's rare for me to walk into a store and come out without something new to read. I started writing professionally in 1986 and have written for newspapers, magazines, business-to-business newsletters, roleplaying games, comic books, trading cards, and online review sites. I also co-created a trading card game (WILDSTORMS CCG) in 1995. It adds up to a lot of words over the years. GIRL IN THE HOURGLASS was written for an anthology that never quite came together. It sat on my computer for about a year, until my publisher Danielle took a look, offered invaluable advice and made it a better story. Now it's out in the world and I hope you like it. Next up: a story with the working title DUST AND WONDER, about the closing of a remarkable museum in New York City and the grip that the past has on our lives, followed by a companion piece entitled HERO YEARBOOK 1931. I look forward to getting them to you.
