Hi there, I am a Professor in Practice in International Development at the London School of Economics, where I both run a Masters course on advocacy and campaigns, and do lots of training for the UN, INGOs, Red Cross/Crescent and Civil Society Organizations on the broad topic of how to influence politics and decision makers. I recently left Oxfam (April 2024), after 20 years as its strategic adviser and head of research. That combination has given me a great opportunity to move between thinkers and doers and see what each can learn from each other - that's basically the origin and purpose of my books and other writing.
