Emily and her husband love raising their two children on their grain farm in northern Illinois. The family shares their farm with two dogs, several miniature donkeys, a bunny, some chickens, quail, turkeys, and cows. With a degree in Agriculture Finance from the University of Illinois, Emily still finds the most enjoyable moments of her life have been watching her children grow up.
Parenting has also brought out Emily's creative side. "Mermaid Hair," based on her daughter's struggle with washing her hair, is the first in the upcoming series on some of childhood's most difficult hurdles. From bath time to doctor visits, the loss of loved ones to other big kid emotions, Emily tackles them all, and brings your children along; bestowing confidence, fun, and joyful rhymes along the way.
