Eva Szilagyi was born in Monor Hungary and grew up in South Orange County, California.
She has written two books. The first one is called "Modified," a futuristic book about the people of South O. C. Calif. in the year 2099.
The second book is called "The Eleventh Arrow," a book about her parents escaping the horrors of Russian communism during the 1956 Revolution.
More details about the two books...
Her first book "Modified," is a fictional romantic, time travel, sci-fi.
Her inspiration for this book came from the fact that, during the 2012 election, Californians were given the opportunity to vote for labeling the genetically modified food, they eat. When Californians voted against the measure, she was shocked people didn't want to know what they were eating. This gave her an idea of what life would be like in the year 2099 when people have also been GMO'd.
The future takes place in South Orange County, California, from San Clemente to Anaheim. A future GMO'd person named Harry invents a time machine, goes back to the year 1972, kidnaps a girl named Anna and brings her to his future. Will Anna be able to save the future of humankind?

He father did not plan on becoming a freedom fighter, but as the fighting escalated in Budapest, he and his friends become the Eleventh Arrow of the Hungarian revolution. They all took a blood oath to protect each other during the battle, as others have in the Hungarian history, staring with the first leader of Hungary Arpad and his ten tribes-people, who in history were called The Ten Arrows.
This book is based upon a true story of a courageous freedom fighters, his wife and their three small children escaping Russian communism during the 1956 Hungarian revolution.
“The Eleventh Arrow” not only captures the essence of the time period, but also gives readers a glimpse into the life of a loving family that must strive to survive amid a tyrannical regime.
October 23, 2016, marked the 60th anniversary of this revolution. Ms. Szilagyi published the book to commemorate the many lives lost in the battle.
