Captain, Coach and Professor Floyd Jay Winters is a career instructor, coach, and author. He graduated from Rutgers University and taught history for 10 years. His championship varsity wrestling team went undefeated for over two straight years. He has multiple American Sailing Association Certifications and United States Sail and Power Squadron Certifications. For many years he gave sailboat lessons at Bimini Bay Sailing off the beautiful coast of Anna Maria Island, Florida. He taught numerous courses for the Anna Maria Island Sail and Power Squadron. One of his recent books is Learn Sailing Fun and Easy, With Memory Tips and Water Riddles. He later earned three Computer Science degrees. He even spent at little time a Harvard. Professor Winters taught Computer Science at the State College of Florida for many years. He has numerous certifications in Microsoft Office and Networking. He authored three lengthy Computer Science books, published by Prentice Hall, and a fourth computer book was published by Labyrinth. He also wrote for the Jay and Julie Show, a local radio program where for nearly three years, Jay and Julie examined the Lighter Side of Politics, Culture and Technology. Perhaps his favorite book is the short Zoey’s Tail, a pleasant, humorous doggie tale packed with helpful training hints and thoughts about raising your puppy with love.
