Dr. Fran Grace serves as founding director of Inner Pathway, the 501c3 nonprofit organization created in 2008, as directed by her spiritual teacher. She is also Emerita (retired) Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Redlands, where she pioneered a contemplative approach to university education.
Since 2008, she has donated her time teaching classes on spiritual topics, leading a weekly online meditation, offering retreats and private sessions for people seeking spiritual support. (She was certified as a Spiritual Director in 2001). Events and offerings are detailed on the Inner Pathway website — "innerpathway dot com."
Fran Grace received her Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1997 and has been recognized for her teaching and research into spiritual life by appearances on CSPAN, NPR, The History Channel, a Pew Fellowship from Yale University, and other such acknowledgments.
Academic life, however, did not fulfill her deep inner quest for truth.
In 2003, a life crisis broke open her inner world, and she encountered her teacher, Dr. David R. Hawkins, who taught her the “inner pathway” that respects the essence of all spiritual traditions. She moved to live near him and spent many years working closely with him. The impact was life-changing. Everything that she offers is in devotion and gratitude for the Grace of her teacher.
In 2008, by his directive, she created Inner Pathway (The Institute for Contemplative Life), a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the “inner pathway.”
Before her teacher’s death in 2012, she edited and wrote the Forewords to his widely popular books "Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender" and the official revision of his "Power vs. Force." In 2020, she edited a primer of his work, "The Map of Consciousness® Explained."
Her book, "The Power of Love: A Transformed Heart Changes the World" (2019) is a Silver Award winner in the Benjamin Franklin Book Awards for “Best Inspirational Books in 2019.” Reviewers say: “a masterpiece,” “splendid and moving narrative,” “reveals love in all of its facets,” “awakens the mind again and again.” It is dedicated to her teacher.
She was certified as a Death Doula, in order to serve the dying and their loved ones. Her recent e-Book, "Love is Forever," traverses the journey of death and loss, graced with stories of love.
