Francis has visited over one hundred countries, accumulating a collection of travel stories that he hopes you’ll enjoy, from seeing embalmed Leaders in North Korea, ordering sacrificial chickens and snakes, to having a beer with a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.
Francis was born in Southern England, discovering a love for travel as a teenager. Educated in History at Newcastle (BA), New South Wales (Exchange), Leiden (MA), and briefly London (LLM), Frank spends almost every free moment somewhere on the road, whilst training near Southampton as an Air Traffic Controller. From the safety of Western Europe, to the wonders of the Far East, he prefers unique destinations that are off the beaten track. That has led him to visiting places that his family, friends, and sometimes even himself, think are pretty dodgy: Sudan, North Korea, Sierra Leone, Nagorno-Karabakh.
