Jacqueline Gay Walley, under the pen name Gay Walley is the author of The Erotic Fire of the Unattainable: Aphorisms on Love, Art and the Vicissitudes of Life (IML Publications, 2007), a finalist for the Paris Book Festival Award, and was reissued by SkyHorse Publishing (2015). Walley wrote the screenplay for The Unattainable Story (2017) featuring actor, Harry Hamlin, and this same book inspired her screenplay for the film, Erotic Fire of the Unattainable: Longing to be Found (2020), which was screened at the Brooklyn Film Festival, Sarasota Film Festival, Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival in San Jose, ReadingFilmFest, American Fringe in Paris (2020) She is also a Zoetrope finalist for her story, The Naked Maja. Her play Love, Genius and a Walk opened at the 2013 Midtown Festival in New York, was nominated for six awards including best playwright, and will open in London September 2021. Ms. Walley is also the author of Strings Attached (University Press of Mississippi, 1999), a finalist for the Pirates Alley/Faulkner Award, the Writer’s Voice Capricorn Award, and Paris Book Festival Award. In October 2021, IML Publications, LLC will launch Jacqueline Gay Walley's 6 novel, Venus as She Ages Collection, which will include, Strings Attached (second edition), To Any Lengths, Prison Sex, The Bed You Lie In, Write She Said, and Magnetism.
