Geanna Culbertson is the award-winning author of The Crisanta Knight Series, The Present (a Christmas novel), and the Heaven’t You Heard? guardian angels series.
Since Crisanta Knight Book One’s release in May 2016, the series has been honored with awards in genres such as fantasy, adventure, teen, and YA in addition to specialty awards such as a Mom’s Choice Award for best family-friendly media, the Living Now Choice Award for “best lifestyle and world-changing books,” and many more!
Culbertson is a regular speaker at schools across the country for an array of age groups (from elementary schools to major universities). She is passionate about inspiring others to pursue their dreams, make proactive choices, and take fate into their own hands. Her work has been featured in Girls’ Life Magazine as recommended reading for girls, and she is an ongoing supporter of the nonprofits Girl Scouts of the USA, Read to a Child, and Girls on the Run.
Culbertson is a first-generation college graduate and proud alumna of the University of Southern California where she earned her B.A. in Public Relations and triple minor degrees in Marketing, Cinematic Arts, and Critical Approaches to Leadership. She is a part of only 1.3% of alumni to earn the double distinction of Renaissance Scholar and Discovery Scholar. Her Discovery Scholar thesis “Beauty & the Badass: Origins of the Hero-Princess Archetype” earned her acclaim in the School of Cinematic Arts and helped fuel her female protagonist writing passions.
In addition to authoring the books in her expanding Culbertson Kingdom Literary Universe, Culbertson is a full-time content and digital marketing manager. During her time writing she has earned her black belt, taught karate to kids, studied archery and piano, and graduated as a certified sushi chef.
Her overarching goal is to bring empowering, morally-driven content to the globe that inspires people to fight for the change they want to see, live honorably and courageously, reflect on preconceived notions, ask the tough questions, and strive to live up to their potential as individuals and members of the world. For, as she notes, “Humanity is a team sport.” and “Humans are just heroes who haven't been tested yet.”
