Georgia Huston, a student at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, is a longtime sufferer of chronic pain. As the founder of the Teen Pain Help Foundation (a 501(c)3 charity), she counsels others youths who are suffering with pain and serves as an advocate of children and teenagers who are in pain. Her battle with chronic pain as a teenager made her an unwilling expert on the subject and she is eager to help other pain victims through her books and her foundation. She also does public speaking on the subject of children in pain and promotes the combining of Western medicine with alternative therapies, as well as sharing information among pain sufferers. A lifelong artist, she occasionally displays the artwork that came out of this dark period in her life. Georgia is a Psychology major, with a minor in Art, and will soon be attending the University of Southern California, working toward a Masters in Social Work.
